On 19 October 2026, Bethel Mbamara, Mister Global 2026 First Runner-Up, alongside Emmanuel Somto, Founder and National Director of Misters of Nigeria, paid a courtesy visit to the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in Bangkok, Thailand, where they were warmly received by His Excellency, Dr. Bello Dogon-Daji Haliru, Ambassador of Nigeria to Thailand.

During the visit, His Excellency congratulated Bethel on his remarkable achievement at Mister Global 2026, where he proudly represented Nigeria and finished as First Runner-Up, one of the highest placements ever achieved by a Nigerian and African delegate at the competition. He expressed his delight at seeing a young Nigerian represent the nation with such pride, excellence, and distinction, and encouraged the team to continue promoting Nigeria positively on the international stage.

The delegation was also honored to be received by Dickson A. Chibueze, Consular Officer, Embassy of Nigeria, Bangkok, Thailand, whose support, accessibility, and commitment to assisting Nigerians in Thailand have been invaluable over the years. As he prepares for the next phase of his journey, we extend our sincere appreciation for the countless ways he has supported not only our delegates but the wider Nigerian community.

Also present was Mr. Nura Gambo Rabiu, President of the Nigerian Community in Thailand, alongside leaders and members of various Nigerian communities and associations. It was inspiring to witness the unity, brotherhood, organization, and strong sense of community among Nigerians living in Thailand. Their warm reception and encouragement further reminded us of the strength and impact of Nigerians abroad.

For us, this visit was more than a celebration of a pageant achievement. It was a reminder that pageantry continues to create opportunities, build bridges, strengthen communities, and provide young Nigerians with platforms to represent the country positively on the global stage.

We remain grateful to the Embassy of Nigeria in Thailand, the Nigerian Community in Thailand, and everyone who continues to support the journey of Nigerian excellence around the world.
